I Am Thankful # 29

I am thankful for my this amazing man
I have been putting this one off because I knew it would take me a while to find the words. This is my amazing dad! He was diagnosed with Non-Hodgekins lymphoma in 2000 and fought 4 hard, long years before passing on February 24th, 2004. I was a senior in high school, only 4 months away from graduating. I have a hard time finding the right words to really describe what an incredible dad he was! He was the perfect dad from day 1. He was the dad who went crazy with the video recorder, dying to get every moment of his children s life on tape. He was the dad who was at every single one of our sports event, whether he was coaching or cheering on the side lines. He was the dad who spent hours every night trying to help us with our homework. He was the dad who would take us kids to Giants game and never got frustrated with us for asking him 1000 questions about baseball (he was happy as a clam to just be there with us). He was the dad who protected us from anything that could EVER hurt us. He was the dad who kept a strong face for us even when he was hurting the most...He was the dad who loved us until the day that Heavenly Father took him to Heaven. I am thankful for having my dad BE my dad for 18 years of my life. I miss him EVERY SINGLE day and I am so thankful that I will get to see him again someday.

Always trying to keep things funny
My dad always kept a smile, even in the hospital
Born a Giants fan!
